Profession of Vows: Novice
Hometown: Belton, TexasPaschal
What I Did Before I Entered: I worked in youth ministry, and I lived in a Catholic men's household preparing for our vocations: we prayed together, shared meals, and fought zombies (or other house recreation)
Hobbies and Interests: Swimming laps, playing catch, snowshoeing (new, but awesome), playing saxophone, art museums, journaling God's graces, singing praise & worship to God, making a spiritual pilgrimage, noticing a wonder of nature.
Favorite Part of Daily Life: Spending face time in the chapel with the Lord Jesus Christ, who is hidden in the Holy Eucharist
Most Challenging Part of Daily Life: Reconciling - mending strained relationships with brothers (but it's so worth it)
Some Favorite Saints: Pope St. John Paul II, St. Kateri, St. Nicholas, St. John the Beloved Disciple, St. Joseph Terror of Demons, St. Paschal Baylon, St. Francis & St. Clare, Mary Mother of the Eucharist, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal-Lourdes-Guadalupe-Fatima, Our Lady of Victory.
Advice to Men Interested In Our Way of Life: Be converted each day closer to the Lord. Strive to be a man of your word. Practice reconciling with others (Mt 5:23, Mt 18:15). Ask a holy priest/deacon to meet with you for spiritual direction once a month. Make a good Confession about once a month. Do that one thing today that you know will improve your life. Take care of your physical, mental and emotional health. Don't wait for all the vocation answers, take a risk and make the next good step.

In May of 2016, I graduated from Century College with a major in Horticulture (Landscape Design Technician).
Hobbies and Interests: I like cooking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, landscaping and gardening.
Favorite Part of Daily Life: Spending time with Jesus in prayer, developing good relationships with the brothers, continuing to meet other people and maintaining and beautifying the gardens.
Most Challenging Part of Daily Life: The most challenging part is with the language barrier. I want to see myself speak fluent English someday. Also, practicing leadership and communicating with people well. I need to balance my time in everyday activities.

Advice to Men Interested In Our Way of Life: Allow the seeds of faith to grow into your heart first and then once they burst into bloom, share with others. The daily prayers and spiritual reading are my tools to strengthen my vocation and to live with simplicity, humility, with love and joy. To follow in the footsteps of our Seraphic Father, St. Francis of Assisi is my treasure. So, "Let us go out into the world and remind everybody by our example and practicing our faith to turn to God because our actions speak louder than words. Let our words teach and our actions speak." May the Spirit of God awaken in us a desire to work together to build God's kingdom in striving for unity, peace, love and sacrifice with our Lord Jesus Christ.
