Profession of Vows: Novice
Hometown: San Gregorio, Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, PhilippinesAntonio
What I Did Before I Entered: After spending six years in Osaka, Japan, exercising my expertise in management with a degree in Business Administration, I moved to America in 2011. I enrolled in the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute at St. Paul Seminary from 2012 to 2014. In May of 2016, I graduated from Century College with a major in Horticulture (Landscape Design Technician).
Hobbies and Interests: I like cooking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, landscaping and gardening.
Favorite Part of Daily Life: Spending time with Jesus in prayer, developing good relationships with the brothers, continuing to meet other people and maintaining and beautifying the gardens.
Most Challenging Part of Daily Life: The most challenging part is with the language barrier. I want to see myself speak fluent English someday. Also, practicing leadership and communicating with people well. I need to balance my time in everyday activities.
Some Favorite Saints: My favorite Saints are, the Blessed Mother as Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Lourdes, Saint Mother Teresa, St. Theresé of the Child Jesus of Lisieux, San Antonio de Padua, St. Benedict Abbot, St. Joseph of Cupertino, St. Padre Pio, St. Francis and San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila.
Advice to Men Interested In Our Way of Life: Allow the seeds of faith to grow into your heart first and then once they burst into bloom, share with others. The daily prayers and spiritual reading are my tools to strengthen my vocation and to live with simplicity, humility, with love and joy. To follow in the footsteps of our Seraphic Father, St. Francis of Assisi is my treasure. So, "Let us go out into the world and remind everybody by our example and practicing our faith to turn to God because our actions speak louder than words. Let our words teach and our actions speak." May the Spirit of God awaken in us a desire to work together to build God's kingdom in striving for unity, peace, love and sacrifice with our Lord Jesus Christ.
