Myanmar is difficult to visit, but one mission trip was completed in 2020, right before the outbreak of COVID. Fr Seraphim says that he came back a different person. It gave him a much deeper appreciation for the life experiences of our Karen Catholic friends who have found refuge here in Minnesota.

He traveled with several Karen adults who now live in Minnesota. He attended the dedication of a church named St Anthony in a remote jungle village in Myanmar, which was built by the fundraising work of the local Minnesota Karen community. Today our biggest project is co-sponsoring St Francis Boarding School, located in one of the internally-displaced-persons (IDP) camps inside Myanmar.
