Minnesota has many food shelves, but we strive to be a spiritual food shelf: supporting the body AND soul, because every person is a body-soul unity, created good, unique and unrepeatable, created in the image and likeness of God.

Hours:

Our Food Shelf operates on 1st & 3rd Monday mornings, 9:30am-11:30am, except holidays.
No Appointments are needed, just come by during those hours.  No call-in needed.
No early or late pick-up times, just 9:30-11:30.

We look forward to seeing you.

What We Have:

We aim to provide canned and boxed food, frozen meat when possible, and occasionally fresh produce. We also have toiletries/Hygiene items upon request. We even have a baby diaper closet for your little ones. In winter, ask us about hats, gloves, socks, or coats. Be sure to tell us your special prayer requests. You can write them in our prayer book or tell us in person. If there's time, we are honored to pray with you in person!

Where to Find Us:

Franciscan Brothers of Peace
1289 Lafond Ave.
Saint Paul, MN 55104

We are a few blocks north of University Avenue and the "Hamline Avenue" stop of the Green Line.  From there, head North on Hamline, past Groundswell Coffee shop, then Right on Lafond. We are on the left side of Lafond, just past the Church of Saint Columba and parking lot.  Wooden Door.

Donate/Volunteer:

Want to donate to the FBP food shelf? See our list of needs at the "Donate" tab. People are still hungry today. Individuals, families with elderly, families with children....are still food insecure. Thank you for being generous.

Amazing volunteers make our food shelf possible. From donating to delivering, from sorting to bagging, our volunteers are hidden heroes! More details for volunteering can also be found at the "Donate" tab.

A Native Connection:

In 2021 after we received a high volume of donations here in the Metro, we learned of a food shortage at several Native reservations. We were honored to connect and deliver several van-loads of food and hygiene to our native brothers and sisters around the Midwest.
