Vocations Director
Profession of Vows: October 4, 2017
Hometown: Belton, Texas
What I Did Before I Entered: I worked in youth ministry, and I lived in a Catholic men's household preparing for our vocations: we prayed together, shared meals, and fought zombies (or other house recreation).
Hobbies and Interests: flyfishing, playing catch, journaling God's graces, singing praise & worship to God, making a spiritual pilgrimage, noticing a wonder of nature, snowshoeing, playing saxophone or cello
Favorite Part of Daily Life: Spending face time in the chapel with the Lord Jesus Christ, who is hidden in the Holy Eucharist
Most Challenging Part of Daily Life: Reconciling - mending strained relationships with brothers (but it's so worth it)
Some Favorite Saints: Pope St. John Paul II, St. Kateri, St. Nicholas, St. John the Beloved Disciple, St. Joseph Terror of Demons, St. Paschal Baylon, St. Francis & St. Clare, Mary Mother of the Eucharist, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal-Lourdes-Guadalupe-Fatima, Our Lady of Victory.
Advice to Men Interested In Our Way of Life: Be converted each day closer to the Lord. Strive to be a man of your word. Practice reconciling with others (Mt 5:23, Mt 18:15). Ask a holy priest/deacon to meet with you for spiritual direction once a month. Make a good Confession about once a month. Do that one thing today that you know will improve your life. Take care of your physical, mental and emotional health. Don't wait for all the vocation answers, take a risk and make the next good step.
